ISLANDS 2024 is coming to the Reykjavik, Iceland, 19/20 April 2024

ISLANDS, the International Study group on Labor And Delivery Sonography, encourages and promotes the scientifically founded use of ultrasound in labor and encourages related teaching and research.

News

The ISLANDS Society (Swiss non-for-profit “Verein”) was founded 3 November 2019. The purpose of the association is the development and dissemination of scientifically sound knowledge and skills regarding the medical use of ultrasound examinations at birth, the facilitation of cooperation, to bring together interested specialists and the organization of research and training events. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. The organs and the members work on an honorary basis. (ISLANDS Statutes, November 2019)

ISLAND Scientific Meeting to date

ISLANDS is proud to have held its founding meeting in Parma, Italy, Friday, 18 January 2019. This meeting joined experts in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine who actively apply ultrasound in labor and perform pertinent research. Its purpose was to present new ideas, to share original data and to aggregate people to build up multi-center studies

The ISLANDS 2020 meeting , consisting of a very popular pre-congress course and an exciting scientific full-day program took place in January 2020 in Zürich Switzerland.

The ISLANDS 2021 meeting , consisting of a very popular pre-congress course and an exciting scientific full-day program took virtually  in January 2021.

The ISLANDS 2022 meeting , consisting of a very popular pre-congress course and an exciting scientific full-day program took place in-person in Rome in 2022.

The ISLANDS 2023 meeting , consisting of a very popular pre-congress course and an exciting scientific full-day program took place in-person in London in 2023.

The founders of ISLANDS welcome you and hope to meet you in person in Iceland 19/20 April 2024.
