ISLANDS 2022 in Rome, program congress Sat. 2 April and pre-congress course Fri. 1 April (as of 20 March 2022)

ISLANDS 2022 consists of a full-day congress for scientific presentations and exchange on a Saturday 2 April 2022 plus a half-day clinical course on the immediately preceding Friday 1 April 2022 to teach the principles of intrapartum ultrasound. As of 7 November 202,1 we plan to hold the event in person in Rome, University Tor Vergata (directions). If required by the pandemic situation, the event can be held hybrid or online, which would be communicated via this website and by email to registered participants. Registration
Course and congress can only be booked together. There is a modest registration fee. The participation fee for both events together is Euro 50,00. Registration must be paid in advance, by credit card at the time of registration and though this website only. Other forms (bank transfer) or payment on site are not possible.
When registering, it is essential to provide all indicated ATTENDEE details. In case someone else pays for the attendee, PURCHASER details must be entered in the registration form on this website. You can find a description of the required details here. Please have all required details ready before you proceed as registration cannot be changed afterwards. Abstract submission
If you plan to present an abstract, you can submit title, authors and text (even if only preliminary) from 7 November 2021, at the time of registration. You can also register now and submit an abstract later, but no later that the abstract submission deadline (1 March 2022), using the late abstract submission form. Please note: Each presenting author MUST register.
Congress program (details to follow)
- The congress will take place online Saturday 2 April 2022 from 9.00 to 18.30 CET.
- The congress is self-funded and incurs a small fee to contribute to organising costs; this fee includes participation of the pre-congress course Friday 1 April 2022 in the afternoon.
- If you plan to present at the congress: Please note the Presentation Guidelines and submit your abstract in the congress registration form. If you do not have your abstract ready yet, please register anyway as soon as possible to help us plan attendance and enter the (approximate) title as a placeholder in the abstract field. Once your abstract is ready for submission, please simply provide the necessary details, using the late abstract submission form.

Course program
The course will take place online Friday 1 April 2021 from 15.00 to 18.30 CET. It is designed for practicing obstetricians, interested in learning the routine application of intrapartum ultrasound, and participation is included in the congress fee (see above). The pre-congress course does NOT require a separate registration. The course and the congress can only be booked together. The faculty for this course consists mainly of ISLANDS’s founding members.
